WiP Wednesday

Only a week late πŸ™‚ Heh. I did actually draft this post for last week, but never got around to posting it. (I haven’t worked much on any of the projects, though, so the pictures are from last week.)

Anyway. Progress on the scarves, and even more scarves! Got a couple more rounds done on the nalbinding cowl, and I think I solved the problem with the join.

You can hardly see that I jumped from the middle to the top row πŸ™‚ The only thing is that working in the middle row for the first round left a fairly visible ridge around the middle of the cowl, but since it’s twisted you can at least only see it on one half at the time πŸ˜›

Got a good deal further on the Trillian too:

I figured if I knit a centimeter or two every day, which is about three rows (back and forth three times, that is) I might just finish this sometime soon πŸ™‚ Behind a few days now, though… Probably because of these two:

Yeah, I just went ahead and started two new projects on the same day, on Thursday I think it was. Got a sudden urge to do Tunisian crochet again and I wanted to do something fancy πŸ™‚

This is called Dragon Tail. I found the pattern on Ravelry, but there’s also a YouTube tutorial that might be as easy to follow πŸ™‚

And this is just a regular scarf. Found some fancy yarn and wanted to try a different stitch, and so I ended up with something called net stitch, or full stitch, or waffle stitch. Who knows. It’s very cool, and I love the thick fabric it creates, but it takes a while.

Also the scarf curls up a LOT, so I probably should’ve used a bigger hook, but 6 mm is the biggest I have. I have to get more hooks, but now I’m not allowed until next year :/
